Joann Melgar

Joann Melgar, founder of Exceptional Body Pilates Studio, became a student of the pilates method after the birth of her second child. After a lifetime of ballet study and performance, she found herself unable to execute steps that had always come easily, particularly those that required strength and balance. A pilates instructor suggested that she try the technique and she became an avid student. After approximately fifteen years of study, Joann decided to take instructor training in the STOTT PILATES® method and open a studio for the benefit of people seeking a proven fitness program in the Joseph H. Pilates tradition. She has completed over 225 hours of instructor training and has attained a level two certification, enabling her to teach essential, intermediate and advanced mat and equipment.
Joann has been certified by Sarah Christensen of Hole In One Pilates™ to teach Pilates for Golf™ and is, herself, a student of the game.

Pam Kramer

Pam has been a student of pilates for over 2 years, having added pilates to a well-rounded fitness program which included gym workouts and competitive tennis. Pam teaches Pilates Pump which adds cardiovascular intervals to a traditional mat class to provide a different challenge for intermediate pilates students. She teaches other mat classes as needed and her form and great attitude make her a popular instructor.
