We offer a wide variety of group classes, from introductory to advanced.

Introductory Class Image Introductory Pilates Technique

This mat class is recommended for all clients who need an introduction to pilates principles and terminology. You should take as many classes at this level as you need to familiarize yourself with the technique so you can function well in a basic or higher level class.

Basic Class Image Basic Pilates

This mat class is for the beginning pilates student and moves more quickly through a repertoire of basic exercises to prepare you for intermediate exercises by strengthening your abdominal and back muscles. Various props are introduced to promote proper technique and instructors are closely involved with clients.

Intermediate Class Image Intermediate/Advanced Pilates

This class challenges the client who has developed fairly strong abdominal and back muscles in the Basic Pilates classes and moves more quickly through a repertoire of intermediate exercises introducing advanced pilates technique.

Studio Equipment Equipment Sessions

Solo and Duet equipment classes (reformers and stability chair) are by appointment only.  Clients work abdominals, back muscles, legs, and upper body on one piece of equipment.  Resistance is provided by a combination of springs, pulleys and the client's own body weight and a large repertoire of exercises takes students from basic through advanced levels.

What our clients are saying~
"Since starting pilates my posture, flexibility and abdominal strength has improved significantly. My general well being has also been given a lift as pilates is a great way of releasing stress. Joann's Stability Ball classes are very enjoyable and paced so they are easy for people of any level to follow. She's also very attentive to any individual needs, so I would recommend this class for anyone thinking of trying pilates." -S.R.

Pilates for Golf Pilates for Golf™

Sarah Christensen of Hole In One Pilates™ in cooperation with noted golf instructor Butch Harmon, has developed a pilates program specifically targeted to the needs of golfers. Special attention is paid to those pilates exercises that have the greatest benefit for the biomechanics of the golf swing and modifications are made so that exercises can be done before, during and after your round of golf. Joann Melgar teaches golf clinics, 10-session group classes and private or semi-private sessions to golfers of all ability levels.
